Here's my original sketch for the Named, as shown on the research page.

 

However, the above sketch wasn't consistent with the way I'd sculpted Ratha's skull and head.  I photographed both the D. Illumina skull and the finished bust of the head and entered them into Photoshop. First I simplified both skull and head into black and white line drawings, then overlaid them.  Finally I attached the new head to the original body and got the result below.

 

Since the skull was on a separate layer and could be faded out, the drawing now looked like this, a generalized Named female.

 

 

By broadening the shoulders and forelegs, stretching the body and lengthening/deepening the face a little, I came up with the structure for the Named male, as opposed to the female.
